Sotto Grilled Pork Meatballs [CLOSED]

Meatballs Los Angeles

Sotto skips tomato sauce and pairs grilled pork meatballs with bitter greens, snap peas and Pecorino.

Ever since Sotto opened last March, the southern Italian restaurant from chefs Steve Samson, Zach Pollack and restaurateur Bill Chait, has become one of my favorites. They even participated in the Food GPS Lamb Showdown in February. So last Thursday, when my cousin was in town for one night from New Jersey, the restaurant was a natural choice. Our table eventually hosted panelle, pizza, brick-pressed chicken and more, but the plate that really impressed me involved Grilled Pork Meatballs ($11). The quartet of seared, juicy pork orbs went great with the bitter greens, crunchy shaved snap peas and sharp Pecorino.

Dose of Vitamin P spotlights my favorite pork dish from the previous week.
