Hailey Kwon plans to move Dot’s Cupcakes from South Arroyo to Old Town Pasadena by December. Kwon’s two-year-old cupcakery will occupy a larger space at One Colorado.
Kwon will continue to incorporate ingredients like Valrhona chocolate, Madagascar Bourbon and Tahitian vanilla extract. Her offerings rotate weekly, but Dot’s Cupcakes has become known for the Red Velvet, made with Mexican cocoa, Chocolate Vanilla with crushed vanilla bean frosting, and the Wednesday special: Boston Cream Pie.
