On August 26, Eater LA editor Kat Odell reported K-Town Gets a Second Helping of Oaxaca with Sabores Oaxaqueños, as brothers Valentin and German Granja filled the former Pal Cabron space.

On August 23, Eater LA editor Kat Odell reported The Paramount Set To Open in Boyle Heights This Winter, filling the old Paramount Ballroom. “Rumor has it that management is looking to partner with Pitfire Pizza.”

On August 22, Eater LA editor Kat Odell reported Walter Manzke and Wife Marge Opening République and Factory Baking Company in the Arts District Spring 2012, describing a “menu inspired by Paris’ thriving ‘bistronomy’ movement” or high-end gastronomic food in a bistro setting,” a bakery and café and a larder.
