On January 4, Caroline on Crack founder Caroline Pardilla wrote about Brew Pub at Golden Road Brewing in Atwater Village: Beer Paired Meals & 20 Taps. She included Chef Adam Levoe’s suggestions for Golden Road’s pulled pork sandwich, sun-dried tomato polenta, Sloppy Joseph and coconut “noodle” salad.

Eater LA

On January 6, Eater LA contributor Daniela Galarza posted about Jeff Cerciello and Michel Darmon’s expansion efforts in a post titled Dry Aged Beef, Wine, Sweets Now For Sale at FarmShop. She also referenced buttermilk biscuits, “steamy stews” and “prepared foods (hot and cold).”

On January 3, Eater LA editor Kat Odell reported Zinque Bistro Wants You To Come By and Stay A While, with first time restaurateur Emmanuel Dossetti offering La Colombe Torrefaction coffee, bread overnighted from Poilâne in Paris, breakfast sandwiches and tartines.

Gourmet Pigs founder Fiona Chandra shared 2011’s Most Memorable Meals, Dishes, and Desserts, including Los Angeles, Indonesia, Chicago, Tijuana and Portland.

LA Times Food

On January 5, LA Times restaurant critic S. Irene Virbila shared her Best meals of 2011, including local picks like “roast chicken dinner at Farmshop,” “burgers at Short Order,” and “takeout brisket from Bludso’s BBQ in Compton.”

On January 2, LA Times deputy Food editor Betty Hallock posed 5 Questions for Waylynn Lucas, who co-owns fonuts with Nancy Truman.

LA Weekly

On January 6, Squid Ink contributor Jenn Garbee spotlighted Beer Art: Andrew + Lee Bakofsky, The Artists Behind Eagle Rock Brewery, The Surly Goat + The New Little Bear’s Designs.

On January 3, Squid Ink contributor Shuji Sakai spotlighted a disturbing creation in a post titled An Evil Piggie Made of Marzipan: Or, Candy-making With Norwegians.

Taste Terminal

On January 5, Taste Terminal editor Lucas Li posted about Handsome Coffee Roasters launching flagship location in L.A. on February 15, with a second location around the corner from Wall Street in “early 2012.”
