Sandwich Los Angeles

The library-adjacent branch of Mendocino Farms passed its final inspections and will open to the public on November 16. However, Mario Del Pero and chef-partner Judy Han are hosting a private preview at 1 PM on November 13, and 20 Food GPS readers are invited. The party includes a complimentary sandwich and Boylan fountain drink for each guest. You also get to be part of the first group to tour the new Citygroup Center branch.

November 12: Congratulations to Active Foodie, Sam Kim, Catherine, Christina, Jeff Hallstead, Melanie Freeland, May, Peach, Julie and Dinesh for each winning a pair of passes to tomorrow’s Mendocino Farms preview.

The fall menu features seasonal sandwiches like Mendo’s Fish and Chef’s Secret Chips, made with black cod, crunchy “krispies,” housemade tartar sauce, crispy onions, shredded Napa cabbage slaw and tomatoes on toasted ciabatta; and the Duck Confit with roasted balsamic Jaime Farm’s Fig Spread, crispy duck skin “chicharrones,” breadcrumbs, herb aioli, chimichurri and baby spinach on ciabatta. pick me. i need lunch and i work next door!

all the talk about lunch is making me hungry for lunch.

Soooo good. Feed me!

Menodcino Farms makes the BEST sandwiches in L.A., hands down! I’d take a Highway 128 wrap and one of their delish side salads over a fancy meal any day, and who can’t appreciate their commitment to being environmentally-friendly? Hope I win 🙂
