Il Sole Ristorante Executive Chef Isaac Rivera is now offering a two-course, $35 prix fixe, which he’s dubbing the Sunday Rustic Menu. Every Sunday from 5 PM – 9 PM at the longtime Sunset Strip restaurant, the menu includes comforting Italian classics like Parmigiana di Melanzane alla Napoletana – eggplant Parmigiano “Napoli” style with a tomato-basil sauce and Parmesan cheese; Lasagna Tre Formaggi con Ragu Bolognese – seven layers of homemade spinach pasta with Bechamel sauce, ricotta, Parmesan and mozzarella cheese with Bolognese ragu; and Occobuco alla Milanese – veal ossobuco on a bed of saffron risotto. If you’re still hungry after two courses, Il Sole will gladly sell you a slab of tiramisu.
