Ballast Point brewers will at The Daily Pint on August 15, beginning at 7 PM. Try several kegs of their beer, including Big Eye IPA, Calico Amber and the new-to-LA Fathom IPL (India Pale Lager). On cask, look for Calico Amber fresh hopped with Amarillo and Sculpin IPA with Simcoe.

2009 Belgian Beer Festival (Part 2) starts on Saturday, August 15. Expect to find 60 different Belgians on tap, including St. Bernardus Abt 12, Tripel Karmeliet and Avec Le Bons Voeux. Belgian Fest will run until August 30, at least. Commemorative T-shirts and glassware will be available.

LUCKY BALDWIN’S DELIRIUM CAFÉ

Beginning August 15, Lucky Baldwin’s eastern outpost is also hosting the 2009 Belgian Beer Festival (Part 2), featuring at least 20-25 Belgians on draught. Commemorative T-shirts and glassware will be available at a special price. Until then, Craftsman Poppyfields Pale Ale is the only new beer on draught.

According to co-owner Ryan Sweeney, Verdugo Bar just scored a rare keg of Ballast Point Sculpin IPA, which is on cask tonight. You’ll also find Ballast Point Longfin Lager and another case of Russian River Temptation.

Coming soon, expect a keg of The Bruery’s Humulus Lager and Mad River Mad Belgian.
