According to today’s update from Brandon Halvorson, who runs the beer program at Dave Furano and Michael Zislis’ El Segundo biergarten, “This week we have a number of limited beers to add to our always good 38 tap line-up. We have The Cismontaine Anniversary Black Lager AND Coulter IPA, Strand Brewing Co’s Black IPA and Beach House Amber, the Ommegang/La Chouffe Collaboration Gnomegang, St Bernardous Triple, Bootleggers Golden Chaos AND Mild, and the Bruery’s Gremlin.

Tickets are going FAST for our June 5th Local Beer Festival. Confirmed breweries include Bootleggers, Eagle Rock, Strand, The Bruery, Brouwerji West, and Cismontaine among others. Some of these breweries are bringing some tasty treats including a Cask of ‘something good’ AND a keg of Cuir from the Bruery alone!

Here is the update from Jace Milstead, a certified cicerone who’s consulting on the beer list, “Hey now! As always, we’re sporting the best beer list in Glendale (quote that!). We’re swimming in good beer. Featuring a lot of out of state breweries, and some doozies at that. Just tapped our first Uinta beer. Uinta is a brewery from Salt Lake City, new to CA . We have their Hoodoo Kolsch and Organic Pale Ale on deck, and are now pouring the Anniversary Barley Wine. Holy Christmas, is it good! Also, we’ve accidentally tapped Espresso Yeti as a nitro keg. Not meant to be, but wow is it tasty. Get it while it’s good! Also, a knockout beer we have rolling right now is a sour from Telegraph called Obscura Arborea– amazing oak-y, sour deliciousness. Finally, we’re featuring a preview of our Tropic Tundra event by tapping a Big Swell IPA from Maui. It’s damn good. yes, I said damn– deal with it.”

Stuffed Sandwich

For the month of May, Marlene Samaniego and husband Sam are featuring Belgian beers. Here’s this month’s line-up: St. Feuillien Saison ‘2011’, De Keersmalker Mort Subite Blanche Lambic ‘2010’, Brouwerij De Ranke XX Bitter Ale ‘2011’, Urthel Hop-It! ALE ‘2010’, Slaapmutske Triple Nightcap Ale, Brouwerij Van Steenburge Leute Bok ‘2010’, Brouwerij Van Eecke Het Kapittel Prior Ale, Brasserie Dubuisson Scaldis Triple Ale.

And on Thursday May 19th we will be celebrating American Craft Beer Week! We will be showcasing one of California’s newest craft brewery at our shop. We will be pouring three beers from SoCal Beer Company – Modesto, Ca. – Seismic IPA, Red Carpet Ale and Black Bear Porter.

The latest from Pete Shuey at Tin Roof Bistro, “Here at Tin Roof we’ve got Avery Ellie’s Brown, Stone Smoked Porter, Oskar Blue’s Mama’s Yella Pils, Craftsman 1903, Black Market Rye IPA, Allagash White, Tripel Karmeleit, Chimay White, Big Sky Moose Drool, Buckbean Tule Duck Red, Drakes 1500 Pale Ale and Great Divide Yeti. Coming up in the next week we’ll have Brouwerij West Tripel, New Belgium Somersault, Shipyard Smashed Blueberry and a couple other surprises! Tony’s Darts Away

On tap in Burbank are Triple Rock IPAX, Karl Strauss Blackball Belgian IPA, Ladyface Chesebro IPA, Ovila Dubbel from Sierra Nevada and Lagunitas Cappucino stout. And in honor of American Craft Beer Week (May 16th – 22nd), Tony’s Darts Away is celebrating with three mini events May 16th through May 18th, including blind tastings and specially priced pints. Come mingle and show off that beer palate of yours!

Vendome Toluca Lake

Vendome Toluca Lake’s weekly Beer Tasting is from 2-5 pm. Each week has a theme and this Saturday you will be treated to the beers of Summer. Lindeman’s Faro Lambic, Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere, Caracole Saxo Blond Ale, Lost Abbey Red Barn and Unibroue Blanche De Chambly.

Verdugo Bar

According to Ryan Sweeney at Verdugo Bar, the following are on tap: Port Hot Rocks lager, Strand Brewing’s black IPA, Marin Star Brew with the Green Flash-St. Feuillen Collaboration # 2 and Maui CoCoNut porter on deck.

The Yard

Here is what is on tap at The Yard: Stone Arrogant Bastard on cask, Ballast Point Sea Monster stout, New Belgium Le Terroir, Double Jack from Firestone-Walker among others.

The Craft Beer Chronicles

On May 5 in The Craft Beer Chronicles, Brand X columnist Steven Armstrong previewed a special event at The Yard, which took place last night, in an article titled Beer Freeks unite for one last night at the Yard.

On May 16th at 7:30 p.m., Public School 612 downtown will be holding a “Beer 101” hosted by Hallie Beaune. For $25.00 you will get (9) different beers with an assortment of specialty lavash pizzas. Call 213-623-1172 for more information.

Sunday Beer Gardens at Tender Greens

According to the announcement, “On Sunday, May 15 from 5pm -9pm, join us in the Tender Greens Hollywood Backyard Patio for whole roasted Yorkshire pig from ReRide Ranch served with halibut with blood orange relish, ratatouille, house-made salumi with cherries, ricotta, and tender greens asparagus with green garlic pesto and sprout salad with corn, fava beans and pecorino. Followed by cherry cobbler or strawberry shortcake. The Bruery is May’s featured brewer. $35 including food, beer, and tax. Reservations are required, and can be made by contacting [email protected].

Eagle Rock Brewery Dinner at City Tavern

City Tavern in Culver City is doing a special brewer’s dinner next week for American Craft Beer Week. The chef is teaming up with the Eagle Rock Brewery guys to do a casual, 3-course prix-fixe menu with beer pairings on Thursday, May 19th. The theme for the dinner is spring infusions. Jeremy from Eagle Rock will be working with Chef Jessica Christensen to do some cool pairings.

ColLAboration

The mobile craft beer garden from the brains behind Tony’s Darts Away, Verdugo Bar/Surly Goat, Blue Palms and 38 Degrees – is popping-up a second time in Hollywood on Saturday, June 4th at the corner of Gower and Hollywood, from noon til 7 p.m

Street Brewed

Angel City Brewery teams up with artists for “Street Brewed” with a Beer Garden Thursday and Friday from 5 pm. and Saturday, Sunday from 2 pm. Fresh Beer, Music, Art and Gourmet Food Trucks!
