According to assistant manager Martin Svab, new beers include “American Craft Beer Week continues at Naja’s tonight with…Local Craft Brewery Nite featuring 5+ local breweries including Strand Brewing, TAPS Fish House & Brewery, Tustin Brewing, and more! We’ll feature at least one beer from each brewery.”

According to Tuesday night’s update from assistant manager Josh Salinas, “This weekend we have Green Flash West Coast IPA, Craftsman Four Cylinder, Craftsman 1903, Eel River’s Acai Berry Wheat, Eagle Rock Solidarity, and Avery White Rascal. On deck we have Bootleggers Dr.Tongue, Brouwerji West Blond, and Rubicon’s Purple Maibock.”

Rock & Brews

According to today’s update from Brandon Halvorson, who runs the beer program at Dave Furano and Michael Zislis’ El Segundo biergarten, “Tickets are going FAST for our June 5th Local Beer Festival. Confirmed breweries include Bootleggers, Eagle Rock, Strand, The Bruery, Brouwerji West, and Cismontaine among others. Some of these breweries are bringing some tasty treats including a Cask of ‘something good’ AND a keg of Cuir from the Bruery alone!

Here is the update from Jace Milstead, a certified cicerone who’s consulting on the beer list, “Speaking of “well” we have tapped into Maui’s Big S(WELL) IPA (tee hee, puns are fun). IN addition, we have procured the very first kegs on Airdale Brewing Beers in Los Angeles County. Airdale is a small brewery in San Diego. We’ll be featuring their Dark and Stormy Imperial Stout as well as their Horizon Hefeweizen. Also, we just put on the Wyld Organic Pale Ale from Uinta. Happy Hour every day 6-8 and of course, as always, the best beer list in Glendale.”

Steingarten LA

From David Watrous and this new Pico establishment, “Join us for another Pint Night! Steingarten LA proudly welcomes the New Belgium Brewing Company. Featuring Le Terroir Lips of Faith, Ooh La La Lips of Faith, Dunkelweisse Lips of Faith, La Folie Lips of Faith, Abbey Grand Cru, Super Cru Anniversary Ale, Ranger IPA and Somersault Ale. On hand from the brewery will be beer ranger Brian Chorn to host and talk about all the beers. We will be giving away promotional items throughout the night so stop in for a cold one!”

For the month of May, Marlene Samaniego and husband Sam are featuring Belgian beers. Here’s this month’s line-up: St. Feuillien Saison ‘2011’, De Keersmalker Mort Subite Blanche Lambic ‘2010’, Brouwerij De Ranke XX Bitter Ale ‘2011’, Urthel Hop-It! ALE ‘2010’, Slaapmutske Triple Nightcap Ale, Brouwerij Van Steenburge Leute Bok ‘2010’, Brouwerij Van Eecke Het Kapittel Prior Ale, Brasserie Dubuisson Scaldis Triple Ale.

And on Thursday May 19th we will be celebrating American Craft Beer Week! We will be showcasing one of California’s newest craft brewery at our shop. We will be pouring three beers from SoCal Beer Company – Modesto, Ca. – Seismic IPA, Red Carpet Ale and Black Bear Porter.

Coming up June 5th we’ll kick off the first of our Sunday Bocce Ball Tournaments. 2 members per team with 16 teams. Should be great fun with craft beer specials as well. Tournaments will be held almost every Sunday throughout the summer culminating in the finals in August.

Don’t forget this Saturday is the first Pirates Festival in West LA at the Olympic Collection HQ on Sawtelle and Olympic. Great way to celebrate the end of Craft Beer Week with a lot of beer for four hours in the afternoon.
