La Grande Orange Café Rewards Metro Riders

In an effort to reduce our collective carbon footprint, La Grande Orange in Pasadena is rewarding Metro Gold Line riders with a $1 first cocktail, as long as they present a current ticket stub. The café is housed in the reinvigorated Santa Fe train depot and resides at the Gold Line stop at Del Mar & Raymond. You’re not limited to cocktails. Wine, LGO white wine sangria and beer are also fair game. On draught, La Grande Orange Café currently carries Craftsman 1903 Lager, Craftsman Hefeweizen and Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale.

How thoughtful, though I can already imagine the kaboodles of folks buying a $1.25 ticket just to score that serious cocktail discount.

Is that how much a Gold Line ticket costs these days? Sign me up. That Craftsman Hefeweizen is terrific, and since I’ll be riding the rails, eco-friendly.

$1.25 to save you what, $4-5 bucks? a steal! And those cocktails are probably more. I need to bring my friends that don’t drink (yes I have a few), get them to buy a bunch of metro tix, and then..well good times! :)
