Lemonade brings their colorful brand of mix-and-match vittles to Venice. [Lemonade]

Back in March, we learned that Alan Jackson was planning to open a third branch of Lemonade on the ground floor of Venice’s contemporary Abbot Lofts. Tomorrow, August 14, he’s opening at 11:30 AM, building up on the success of his modern market-driven cafeterias in West Hollywood and downtown.

Lemonade Venice features a seasonal, mix-and-match menu with over 35 kinds of seasonal vegetables, salads, proteins and pot roasts. “Marketplace” options ($ apiece) include parsnips with carrots, Palm Springs dates and ginger; spaghetti squash with farro and pomegranate vinaigrette; and nectarine rice with Grafton cheddar and mint vinaigrette. Proteins ($5) are highlighted by seared ahi with whole citrus ponzu; and citrus salmon with cucumber, snow peas and Champagne dressing. Pot Roast ($9 each) comes with orzo rice pilaf or salad. Choices include lamb tagine with figs, apricots and almonds; red miso short rib pot roast; and Provencal vegetable stew with vegetable stock and Romesco.

For dessert, expect Lemonade features cupcakes, “sweet bars,” cookies and cakes. To drink, you’ll find 12 kinds of house-made lemonade, four per day. Think strawberry, blueberry mint, watermelon rosemary and peach ginger.
