On Saturday mornings, Huckleberry is featuring limited edition huckleberry pancakes prepared by co-owner Zoe Nathan’s father, a TV writer-producer. According to Josh Loeb, Nathan’s husband and Huckleberry’s other owner, “He makes one big batch of pancake batter, and we usually get about 20 orders out of them and then he’s done. It’s a tradition we started when we used to do Saturday Morning Breakfast at Rustic Canyon and he used to come in and make Pancakes and work the line with the guys.” The pancakes cost $9.50 per order. This may be the last week, depending on the market availability of fresh huckleberries. If not, then September 5 will mark the end.

scarcity sounds good
I was wondering why some Huckleberry staffers were wearing “Pancake” T-shirts when none is offered on their breakfast/brunch menus. Guess they’re THAT exclusive… and a “hidden off-menu” item I can root for!
