BREADBAR co-owner Ali Chalabi has made repeated efforts to give inventive chefs a stage. He already precipitated two stints from Ludovic Lefebvre called (LudoBites) and a residency from Noriyuki Sugie (Crudobar). BREADBAR Century City and Chef Nori are hosting “The Hatchi Series,” featuring a different guest chef on the final Thursday of each month. Hatchi means “8” in Japanese and doubles as the symbol for infinity. With that in mind, each Hatchi menu offers 8 dishes for $8 per dish, with a minimum order of 3 dishes per person.
On January 28, BREADBAR is hosting lauded Mo-Chica chef-owner Ricardo Zarate, who’s offering a dining experience dubbed “Peru Mucho Gusto.”
“The dinner is a compliation of my favorite dishes from all of the past tasting dinners, which we do about once a month at Mo-Chica,” says Zarate. “What I am really hoping to accomplish is to generate publicity and get the word out about Mo-Chica. I really hope that people who come to the event will enjoy at least five courses each to really get a feel of the food I create.”
