For the past decade, the Manzella family has quietly cultivated a reputation as a beer and food destination in the suburban hamlet of Brea with TAPS Fish House & Brewery. On September 28 from 6:30 PM – 10:30 PM, TAPS is celebrating their 10th Anniversary with a party that benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Brea-Placentia-Yorba Linda. The event features live entertainment, brewmaster Victor Novak’s traditional European ale and lagers, passed hors d’oeuvres and overflowing food stations. Tickets cost $75 and include complimentary valet parking. VIP tables of ten are available for $1000. To purchase and for more information, call Amanda Rozzana at 714-528-8140, ext 112 or e-mail amanda@everykid.org. Guests over 21 will receive a take-home gift of TAPS commemorative 10th anniversary ale, Joe’s Dunkelweizen, brewed for the occasion by Novak. “The classic Bavarian ale is a darker version of the popular Hefeweizen with subtle hints of spice and banana, perfect for autumn.”

On October 14 at 6:30 PM, TAPS culinary director Tom Hope and executive chef Manny Gonzalez will prepare a five-course Harvest Beer Dinner with beer pairings from brewmaster Victor Novak, who will discuss his vision and philosophy during the meal. The cost is $55 per person, minus tax or tip. CLICK HERE FOR THE MENU
