Suzanne Goin & Caroline Styne recently introduced weekend brunch at their latest market-driven restaurant, Tavern. Today, they’re adding breakfast to their Brentwood arsenal.
Morning options include French toast with bananas foster and hazelnuts ($10.50); smoked fish with toasted rye & redwood hill goat cheese ($12.50); and Butter-crumbed eggs with arugula and soft polenta ($9.75). You can also draw from the larder. Consider the walnut bundle ($3.50) or cornmeal blackberry shortcake ($3.25).
For brunch, expect wild mushroom frittata with spinach and cheddar ($16), lemon-ricotta pancakes with huckleberries ($14) and brisket hash with fried eggs and horseradish cream ($17), to name just three options. You’ll also find sandwiches, salads and burgers, including Pork, Pork, Pork with Manchego and Romesco ($17).
Breakfast is available Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 10:30 AM. Brunch runs Saturday & Sunday from 10 AM – 2:15 PM.

still haven’t been to tavern. could be worth a trip on a Sunday morning.
The brunch menu looks a lot more ambitious than breakfast. The full menus are available on Tavern’s website.
Looking forward to this place for Sunday Brunch. Don’t you think the breakfast times are a bit late??
