The Conga Room will re-open on December 10 on the second floor of L.A. Live, the downtown development that’s being billed as “The Times Square of the West.” The Conga Room will carry on the tradition that real estate entrepreneur Brad Gluckstein established in 1998 at its original Miracle Mile location, combining live music, Latin dancing and Pan-Latin cuisine.
Architect Hagy Belzberg has crafted a dynamic space, including a digital mural and sculptures from Sergio Arau. Cuban American artist Jorge Pardo designed the sleek Papaya Bar. The sprawling 15,000-square-foot facility with the undulating flower petal design will feature a main stage, a restaurant, three bars, patio seating, private VIP areas and several lounges.
Executive Chef Alex Garcia will oversee the menu at Boca, The Conga Room’s Pan-Latin restaurant. Expect menu highlights like wood-fired pan de campo with grilled sausage, caramelized onions and gouda; Maine lobster ceviche with shrimp, lemon oil, jalapeno and lime; crispy calamari with Dominican honey and sprouts; carnitas with goat cheese mash and red bean broth; and Cuban skirt steak with Latin fried rice, tomato chimichurri and avocado.
Late-night on Friday and Saturday nights, The Conga Room will host Hangover Breakfast.
