Petros Ohanyan and wife Rosalba finally opened The Olive in a Los Feliz strip mall. Their fast casual Mediterranean restaurant specializes in reasonably priced kabob plates, salads and sides. Expect to find a chicken kebab plate with rice, pita, hummus and pickles for $7. Beef shawarma runs $8. Baby back ribs come with identical sides for $8. You’ll also discover Mediterranean classics like falafel ($5 per plate), hummus ($4) and lentil soup ($3).

now if that area had some better parking I’d go there more regularly.

There’s actually a parking lot attached to the strip mall.

Love this place! yeah, sometimes parking is hard to find, but it’s definitely worth it. I live in Glendale and would rather drive here than go to Zankou which is closer to me. Best falafel I’ve had in years! But my absolute favorite is the ribs, with a side of fries. And the customer service is 5 stars in my book.

I love this place the owners are great! Very friendly from the first minute you walk in you are treated like family. The food is superb. My favorite is the Shawarma, the best in town. With free delivery it can’t get better than that.
