4. Semi Sweet Bakery PB&J Pocket Tart ($1.95)

Sharlena Fong, who rose to prominence at nearby Nickel Diner, now runs this charming bakery downtown. Her PB&J Pocket Tart is a play on a pop tart with house-made strawberry jelly in the middle of flaky, crimped crust, with peanut butter and crushed peanuts up top.

5. Stan’s Donuts Peanut Butter & Jelly Donut ($3.25)

Stan’s dates to 1965 in Westwood Village, resides across from the famed Bruin and Fox Westwood Village movie theaters, and shares a corner space with Flame Broiler. Original owner Stan Berman still often sits on a counter stool. He was holding court when I recently scored a Peanut Butter & Jelly raised, glazed donut with rich peanut butter filling and raspberry jelly topping.

6. Sugarbloom Bakery PB&J Croissant Muffin ($4)

Pastry chef Sharon Wang previously worked for Thomas Keller and now runs Sugarbloom in Los Angeles, making next-level baked goods like the PB&J Croissant Muffin for L.A. coffeehouses like Stumptown, Blacktop and Taza. Flaky, buttery coils of caramelized croissant dough cradle creamy peanut butter and grape jelly, which oozes from both ends. Up top, you’ll find more peanut butter, roasted peanuts and bursting champagne grapes.

Extra Credit: Grill ‘Em All Dee Snider

I haven’t had the gumption to try this gooey beast yet, but Grill ‘Em All founders Ryan Harkins and Matt Chernus honor Twisted Sister frontman Snider with a burger that gets bombed with peanut butter, strawberry jam, bacon and Sriracha. “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” but if you do tackle this burger, there’s a good chance you won’t “Burn In Hell.”
