Wally’s 6th Annual Central Coast Wine and Food Celebration

On August 2 from noon – 4PM, Wally’s Wine & Spirits is hosting their 6th Annual Central Coast Wine and Food Celebration with support from Los Angeles magazine. The event benefits the Michael Bonaccorsi Scholarship Fund at UC Davis’ Department of Viticulture and Enology. Tickets cost $95 per person in advance or $125 at the door.
The Bonaccorsi family founded the fund in 2004, in tribute to the legendary Master Sommelier/winemaker. Each year, a student at UC Davis’ Department of Viticulture and Enology who displays outstanding achievement in winemaking along with a genuine passion for the field receives assistance with their financial needs. To date, Wally’s Central Coast Wine and Food Celebration has raised over $150,000 for The Michael Bonaccorsi Scholarship Fund.
This year’s tasting under the “big top” will feature over 120 top Central Coast wines, including Justin, Brewer-Clifton, La Fenetre, Qupé, Au Bon Climat, Fiddlehead Cellars Sea Smoke and Foxen. So far, chefs have committed from top restaurants like Lucques, A.O.C., Tavern, Comme Ça, The Hungry Cat, Pizzeria and Osteria Mozza, Hitching Post, Spago Beverly Hills, CUTS, Brothers Restaurant at Mattei’s Tavern (Los Olivos), Artisan (Paso Robles) and Full of Life Flatbread (Los Alamos). You’re also welcome to participate a silent auction featuring rare wines and gift packages. The Inexpensive Winos will provide musical accompaniment for the event.
