Former Whist and Saddle Peak Lodge chef Warren Schwartz plans to open Westside Tavern at the Westside Pavilion on March 24. He’s partnered with Dallas-based Consilient Restaurants, which has a roster that includes Fireside Pies, Hibiscus, and The Porch. Schwartz has been tight-lipped about his plans for the restaurant, but his website promises “chef-driven yet affordable interpretations of California Tavern Cuisine alongside a complimentary selection of fresh cocktails, craftsman beers and thoughtful wines.” The tavern will occupy 10,400 square feet and host 300 seats. Highly regarded bartender Ryan Magarian is overseeing the cocktail program.
