According to Tasha Nita Adams at Blackburn And Sweetzer, Xooro is expanding from Santa Monica to Melrose. Vicente Cisneros and wife Begoña have already revolutionized churros near Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade. Melrose will be the second link in their burgeoning churros chain. The Xooro website also lists Orlando, San Antonio, Los Angeles and San Diego as upcoming locations.

The couple deep-fries their dough to order in rice bran oil, which is then custom-filled, chocolate-dipped and coated. Options include Chocolate Coconut, Turkish Hazelnut and Maple & Bacon. The couple has also been perfecting savory offerings like Caprese.
