Xooro Specializes in Spanish-Style Churros near Third Street Promenade
Posted September 8, 2008 at 4:31 pm
On July 11, Mexico City native Vicente Cisneros and wife Begonia opened Xooro near Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade, specializing in gourmet churros, known as xurro in Spain. Custom fritter flavors include Turkish hazelnut, dulce de leche, strawberry crème and chocolate coconut. Hot chocolate is Xooro’s other specialty. Think dulce de leche white chocolate, hot chocolate espresso and hazelnut milk chocolate.
The sleek design features the word “xooro” ingrained repeatedly in white walls. There are also brown and teal accents. Order at a silver counter.
