dineLA Restaurant Week drew 150,000 diners to 175 restaurants in February. Given the massive turnout, the organization is staging an encore Restaurant Week from October 4-9 and October 11-16. This time around, dineLA Restaurant Week features over 240 participating restaurants. The effort to promote the event includes Food GPS Progressive Dinners on September 23 (Santa Monica) and September 24 (Downtown). From September 28 – October 2, dineLA will also roll out a food truck, with a different chef and different location each day, all serving complimentary food from 11 AM – 4 PM.

September 28, Hollywood: Dakota at the Hollywood Roosevelt – Executive Chef Jason Johnston
September 29, Mid City: The Foundry on Melrose – Executive Chef Eric Greenspan
September 30, Santa Monica: Anisette Brasserie – Executive Chef Alain Giraud
October 1, Beverly Hills: Lawry’s, The Prime Rib – Executive Chef Walter Eckstein
October 2, Downtown: Rosa Mexicano – Executive Chef John England

According to dineLA Director Carrie Kommers, “The foodie public has really gravitated towards this new phenomenon, so we’re capitalizing on that as a way to get the word out about the program and promote our incredible brick-and-mortar restaurants as the same time. We’re taking chefs on the road– what could be more fun?”
RoadStoves is sponsoring the event. The company outfits some of L.A’s more popular food trucks with permits, licensing and insurance, including Kogi, NomNom, Marked5 and The South Philly Experience.
