Today, Bryce Rademan and Robert Wicklund opened a second Spitz on the ground floor of Little Tokyo’s Hikari Lofts building. The duo founded the Eagle Rock original in 2006 near their alma mater, Occidental College. Spitz specializes in Döner Kebab, a spit-shaved beef and lamb dish popularized in Europe.

Spitz’s downtown menu is nearly identical to the Eagle Rock original, but downtown, you’ll also find pita chips with cinnamon and a fresh fruit cart. To drink, expect sangria and beer, including a small pour popular in Spain known as a “caña,” which encourages variety.

The Celeste Korthase Studio designed the space, which features an open kitchen, commnunal tables and an outdoor patio. There’s plenty of room to host live bands and DJs.

Rademan and Wicklund will be open today and tomorrow, take a breather for Thanksgiving, then hit full force on Friday.
