Food GPS Favorites

Reported by: John Wyatt

They only set up at night, and on weeknights close around 11 or 12, a little later on weekends. I drove by these guys for six years before I finally tried them, and now it’s one of my favorite spots. I always take my out-of-town friends there to feed them some authentic Mexican. They only have tacos and they only have three kinds: pastor, carnitas and cabeza. All three are delicious. There are three salsas, two red ones and a green one. They have cilantro and chopped-up onion, and grill whole onions, that you take and squish into your tacos. Then just lemon, lime and salt. That’s all. They have moved back from San Fernando onto Ave 27 after a car went out of control and plowed into the stand! Look for the big string of lights, and beware of imitators!
