June 19, 2012 - Tturak has been open since 1995 in the back corner of Koreatown's Waa Waa Plaza, and they certainly have more daring dishes, but we really enjoyed Ttukbaegibulgogi, marinated beef served in a stone pot with enoki mushrooms and sesame seeds, submerged in savory bubbling anchovy, radish and seaweed broth, combined with scallions, onions, carrots, cabbage and mushrooms.

Meatloaf Los Angeles

June 19, 2012 – The latest location of Simmzy’s, in Long Beach’s Belmont Shore neighborhood, features nightly specials like meatloaf, made using beef, pork and veal, available on Tuesday nights with spinach and mashed potatoes and gravy.

Tacos Los Angeles

June 21 2012Playa chef-owner John Rivera Sedlar and chef de cuisine Kevin Luzande debuted the Playa Cielo Verde Garden, which they started cultivating above the Mid-City restaurant. They had an opening party and made plates using fresh-plucked produce, including kale tacos with caramelized onions and lardons.
